How accurate are the calculators, and where do the numbers come from?

Every calculator shows its formula, its assumptions, its limits and a link to the primary source behind each rule. Here is how to read that, and what it does not cover.

Each one shows its working

Every calculator on the site carries a methodology panel: the formula it applies, the assumptions it makes, what it deliberately does not model, and a dated link to the primary authority for each rule — SEBI, CBDT, RBI, EPFO or PFRDA rather than a news summary.

If a figure matters to you, open that panel before you rely on the answer. A tool you cannot check is one you have to take on faith, and these are built so you do not have to.

What they are not

They are estimates for your own thinking, not instructions, and not a filing. Real payslips, real tax positions and real fund performance all carry details a general calculator cannot know about you.

Nothing here predicts a return or names a product to buy. See Do Wealducate's tools offer financial advice?.

When rules change

Rates, slabs and thresholds change with the Budget and with circulars. Each methodology panel carries the date its figures were last verified, so you can see how fresh it is rather than guess.

If you spot a figure that has gone stale, tell us at support@wealducate.com — that is a genuine help, and it gets fixed.
