Vestora — tracking your money

Does Vestora connect to my bank or broker accounts?

Not today. There is no live link to any account you hold — you supply statements, and Vestora reads them. A consent-based option is intended for the future, and it would be opt-in per account.

No live access

Vestora never signs in to your bank, broker, registrar or depository. It holds no credentials for them, and there is no connection that could place an order, move money, or read your balance in real time.

What it works from is documents you already receive: statements you upload, or statements that reach it by email if you have set that up on the cloud version.

What that costs, stated honestly

This is a real trade-off rather than a pure win. Apps that link directly to your accounts can refresh themselves without you doing anything; Vestora needs a statement to learn about anything new.

We think that is the right side of the trade for a tool whose job is to be correct rather than instant — but it is a trade, and you should choose it knowingly rather than discover it later.

It may not always be the only option. A consent-based route, where you explicitly authorise a specific account and can withdraw that permission, is something we intend to offer. If it arrives it will be opt-in per account and off by default — never a condition of using Vestora, and never something switched on for you. We are not giving it a date, and until it exists this page describes the whole of it.

The one thing that does go out

To show what your holdings are worth today, Vestora looks up current prices. That request identifies the instruments you hold, so that it only asks about what you actually own. It carries no amounts, no unit counts, no values, no folio numbers and no name.
